[APH] Fridays with Amelia 5 (Preview)

Whatever he is planning for, Juan may never know. Juan followed the Briton (or so he assumed) inside. Their house was nice, Juan must admit. It felt very… homey and warm and it smelled of… some kind of tea as well. He took notice of a family picture sitting on top of a nearby drawer. Amelia looked around 14 years old or so and beside her was Madeleine while the two adults in the background were a younger-looking Mr. Kirkland and a woman who is probably Amelia’s stepmom.

And she’s also very pretty, Juan must admit. Mr. Kirkland must be one lucky man.

Juan just stood there, contemplating and trying to comprehend what in the world did Mrs. Kirkland (or Marianne as she insisted) just said. Was she really serious? He and Amelia even barely knew each other, only meeting earlier this month. Why was she really eager? Perhaps something happened to Amelia before? No. He doesn’t want to think about that… yet, at least. But really, this is seriously going too fast for Juan’s liking.
